Hosted Services

BlueSky can offer several ways in which you can implement our software products. You can install and operate them internally on your own hardware which is managed and supported by your own IT department.

Alternatively we can deliver options to manage the environment on your behalf. This includes several hosting options:

Hosted IT Service
This is where you choose to purchase our software and it is installed on hardware that is managed by our hosted services partner for an agreed contract period usually between 3 and 5 years for an annual hosting fee. The hardware can be purchased and managed in a variety of ways, this is often down to individual customer choice and BlueSky and its hosting partner can assist you in determining the most appropriate for your organisation. The benefit of this approach is the flexibility and control you have over the type of service you require. You have access to a host of IT professionals to ensure you get the right type of IT service for your organisation and you retain the flexibility to change or move it back in-house at the end of the hosting period.

Hosted Applications Service
This option delivers a complete turnkey service that is managed in conjunction with our applications services partner for a monthly fee payable over an agreed contract period, usually between 3 and 5 years. This service includes all hardware and software required to operate the system. The benefit of this approach is that you can minimise your outlay on internal IT services and it allows you to fund the system from revenue rather than capital budgets.

Disaster Recovery Service
This option is based on individual customer requirements; but is designed to minimise downtime of your system should you encounter a major systems failure due to circumstances outside of your control.

Remote DBA Services
This service is where you are running the systems on your own hardware and provides a remote monitoring and database administration support to ensure your system continues to operate and is tuned to perform at it’s optimum level within your environment.
