Events - ITB Berlin 2009

The show succeeded in attracting a stable number of visitors despite the global financial and economic crisis. Total visitor numbers, including both trade visitors and consumers, were up by 0.6% at 178,971, organiser Messe Berlin announced at the end of the five-day show.

The number of visitors during the three trade-only days (Wednesday – Friday) was stable at about 100,000. The figure ended at 110,857 over the full five days, which was 535 more than last year. The proportion of foreign trade visitors rose to 42% from 38% in 2008. Trade visitors were highly satisfied with their time at ITB Berlin, with 94% describing it as good or very good, and 92% already plan to return next year.

The next ITB Belin will take place from Wednesday March 10 – Sunday March 14, 2010
